Outreach Ministry
PURPOSE:
The Outreach Commission coordinates our local and global outreach programs so that we can 'love our neighbors as ourselves.' We are called to help the poor because Christ suffers within them.
'Do not neglect to do good and share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.' Hebrews 13:16

ANGEL TREE:
This is a nationwide prison fellowship ministry that provides Christmas gifts for children of incarcerated parents and the sharing of the Gospel with the families of these children with age-appropriate literature. Also, using financial donations received from our parishioners, we provide these families with Thanksgiving and Christmas food assistance in the form of Safeway certificates. We also sponsor the children at Summer Camp. We need lots of volunteers to help deliver gifts, wrap presents, call caregivers, etc. Spanish speakers are also needed.

EVANGELISM/NEWCOMERS MINISTRY:
It is our mission to reach out with hospitality and kindness to all visitors and newcomers. Welcome packets containing information about our mission and our ministries are available at the Welcome Center that is staffed with friendly and knowledgeable people on Sunday mornings before and after the worship services.

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY:
Habitat for Humanity’s mission is to provide quality, affordable housing for working families of modest means. With the physical help and financial donations from St. Anthony members, we help build homes with other members of the Valley's Episcopal Coalition. Absolutely no talent, skill, or experience is required to be a volunteer. (The Ministry Leader can attest to this personally). A Habitat building experience gives you the opportunity to sweat, ache, and get to know some of your fellow parishioners better - all while doing the Lord's work.

SAVE THE FAMILY:
This nonprofit agency based in Mesa serves homeless families and their children through the Valley to help lift themselves out of poverty and homelessness. Case management and supportive services are provided to help families get back on their feet to remain self-sufficient and independent of government assistance. Ways we help include donations of furniture for the transitional housing units and helping with various projects.

VISTA DEL CAMINO:
Vista del Camino is a City of Scottsdale community center that provides emergency social services, counseling, financial assistance, job preparation, and youth programs. We regularly collect canned goods, toiletries, clothing and household items to help meet the needs of those in crisis situations. Special events throughout the year focus on specific needs, such as Back to School, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
