Freedom Explored: The Reimagined World
of Donna Klein
Donna Klein’s art is love made visible. With each touch of her computer mouse, the “seeds” of her photographs bloom from her soul in arrays of movement, color and meaning. A friend dubbed her “Pixel Pusher Extraordinaire.” She pushes her photos beyond their boundaries into digitally created works of her imagination. A consummate nature lover, she has a practiced eye for finding that dew-dropped sunlit spider web or a tiny green spike thrusting through cracked clay. The process starts when she begins manipulating a photo using her vivid imagination and her computer.
Art has always been a part of Klein’s life. She graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in fine art. When she moved to WA State, her pottery and etchings were shown in various galleries. In 1996, she moved to Arizona. Now a happily retired resident of Sedona, she jokes, “Gone are the days of pottery clay in my hair and etching ink under my nails. Just give me a nice clean keyboard, mouse and screen.”

ESSENCE
By Donna Klein
Permit me to share,
My essence laid bare,
As the waves do flow,
As the winds do blow,
So goes my soul.
