Nancy Michaelson - Red Rope Studio
A thin red line, a string of beads, a thread. One of these runs through almost every painting she has created. It represents the story of blood. Blood is a symbol for life. The giving of life. The taking of life. Nancy’s paintings have a strong message. It is subtle in some paintings and very clear in others.
Throughout both the Old and New Testament this blood that is shed for you and for many, as the Sacrament states, is about eternal life through redemption in faith with Jesus Christ. With great joy, Nancy paints these stories for you and for the glory of God. When you look, you will find the red rope or string in almost every painting.
