Make a Difference Day

What is Make a Difference Day? National Make a Difference Day is the largest national day of community service in the United States. It is an annual event celebrated on the fourth Saturday in October. This extraordinary day aims to inspire people from all walks of life to step up, take action, and make a positive difference in their communities. Whether through volunteering, organizing charitable projects, or engaging in acts of kindness, National Make a Difference Day encourages individuals to contribute their time, resources, and skills to address various social issues.
Saint Anthony on the Desert is all about making a difference in the lives of those in need and in doing so in the name of Jesus. We are hoping for 30-40 people to join us on Make a Difference Day with a variety of indoor and outdoor projects—which take skilled, non-skilled, and basic labor. Some things are physically laborious and some are not—all are labors of love.
This year we have activities for all skill levels and ages. Check a box below today. Bring any tools that would be helpful in the activity you choose - especially need loppers, rakes and perhaps a wheel barrel if you choose landscaping.
We will gather for a potluck lunch at noon. If you are able, bring soup, salad or sandwiches to share with the group.
Contact Jill Kyler or Claudia Johnson with questions.
