Shop Amazon – Benefit St. Anthony (win/win)
Access your Amazon home page by clicking the Amazon logo at left, and we will receive a small referral fee that doesn’t affect the cost of your purchases in any way. Most of us shop this way, so make it count! Encourage your family and friends to support St. Anthony mission and ministries with this one extra click that will mean so much.
See something that needs to be fixed? Please add it to the list on the bulletin board in the courtyard or email the office. Thank you for helping us to identify issues and keep our campus safe and beautiful.
Prayer Chain Ministry Opportunities
Knowing others are praying for you or your loved ones is so comforting in difficult times. The Prayer Chain Ministry is being re-established, and now is your opportunity to share Christ’s love and compassion. If you are interested in serving as a prayer chain minister, contact Celia Warren by phone or email or signup online. If you have a prayer request - send it to us online.
Calendar for 2019-2020
If your ministry is planning an event during the remainder of this year and in 2020, please send all the details to Debbie Hubbs as soon as possible to avoid conflicts with other planned events.
Emergency Safety Procedures
The Vestry has adopted new procedures to ensure your safety. Doors to the church, office and parish hall will now be locked during worship services and other events. If you arrive late or need access to a building on Sunday mornings, check in with an usher who will have keys to unlock the doors. Ministries are also asked to keep doors locked during meetings and other events they are holding.
Avid Readers 2019-20 Booklist
Pick up your copy of the 2019-20 booklist in the church lobby, the Parish Hall or download here. It promises to be a great season with many interesting reads. A highlight will be author Julie Bradley joining us in February. Everyone is invited to join the discussions.
Healthy Packs Outreach Events
Every Thursday 8:30-10 am
Come to AZ Brainfood on Thursdays to pack food bags for Scottsdale and Fountain Hills students who don’t have enough to eat on the weekends. Pick up a flyer at the Inspire bulletin board. Come once or as often as you can.
Eucharistic Visitors Opportunity
Each Sunday we send out individuals to share communion with those unable to attend worship services. Most Eucharistic Visitors are assigned one Sunday service each month. This is a wonderful opportunity to offer meaningful connections and form new friendships. Training is provided, and there will be opportunities to shadow experienced Eucharistic Visitors. If this sounds like a ministry for you, please use this link to learn more.
Provide a meal for our EPIC Youth Group
Sunday evenings at 5 pm - Parish Hall
Get to know the youth in our church better by providing a meal – and joining them for it – one Sunday evening. You would provide a meal for approximately 15. Whatever you would like to bring would be very appreciated. Please sign up on the Inspire bulletin board or by emailing Mark Culbertson.

New Series for Lent
March 4-April 1
We are excited to announce our new discussion series for Wednesday evenings in Lent – Signs of Life: Why Church Matters. We will be exploring the rich symbols of Christian worship so that we may learn to pray what we live and live what we pray. The schedule for Wednesday evenings will be as follows:
5:30 pm Taize worship service in the Chapel
6 pm Soup Supper
6:30 pm Discussion group
Please feel free to attend any or all of the evening’s offerings. Sign up at the Inspire bulletin board or online.
The Society of St. John the Evangelist will be offering daily online devotions. You may sign up at here. We also have daily devotions from Forward Day by Day in the church lobby on the left side wall upon entering the church both in standard and large print.
Care for Caregivers - A Reality Check
March 5 at 6 pm in the Youth Room
Living in reality is a balancing act. The reality of caring for a loved one can lead to resentment, frustration, anger and sadness. Learning to balance one’s own needs along with the needs of another can be challenging. Acknowledging the feelings our reality produces is the first step to help address them. Join us as we share a collective reality check as caregivers. Sign up on the Inspire bulletin board or online.
Annual Resale Ministry Rummage Sale
March 7th, 2020
The rummage sale is almost here! Three things for a successful sale: 1. Donations of items that you once cherished, but time for someone else to use. 2. Help in sorting and setting up for the sale on March 5th & 6th and the day of the sale. Signup sheets will be on the RSVP Board starting Feb 16th. 3. Due to lack of storage area, please do not bring your donations until Sunday, March 1 or drop them off on Thursday March 5th or Friday the 6th. Please contact Barbara Ells or Maxine Walker if you can help with either.

Make A Difference Day at St. Anthony
Saturday, March 21 – 8 am
Approximately 30 people from St. Anthony came out for the international service day, Make A Difference Day in October. We were able to complete tasks at three homes of two parishioners and one additional family. Now we are going to make a difference at St. Anthony on Saturday, March 21. What does this mean? We are going to clean the kitchen, wash windows, dust items, trim trees and overall landscaping of our campus. There will be something to do for everyone. Please see the sign-up online and on the Inspire bulletin board. We will provide food and drink. You will need to bring tools for the jobs. Please note that in effect this activity is a fundraiser for the church as it will reduce our landscaping costs.
Let’s make a difference at St. Anthony! For questions, please contact Claudia Sullens Johnson at 602.290.9576. Sign up on line here.
