Seniors 2020 Prayer Service

A prayer service was held for our three graduating seniors and their families. You can watch the video and access the bulletin here. Please join in congratulating and blessing our seniors, Julia Hacnik, Kaitlyn Hohl and Caroline Tetlow as they begin the next chapter of their lives in these unprecedented times. We believe these girls are just what this crazy world needs right now.
2020 Grant Report from Annual Charity Golf Tournament Proceeds
School Clothes for Kids $3,000
Provide new school supplies and clothing to children ages 5-10 who live in poverty at local Title One School - Yavapai Elementary School. Joint venture with matching funds from the AZ Legacy Fund and the Arizona Diamondbacks. Approximately 6-7 people involved. Seventh year of ministry.
Healthy Packs Program $3,800
Aids Title 1 school children experiencing weekend hunger by sending them home from school with food on Friday afternoons. Serves eight schools in Scottsdale Unified School District. 14 people involved. This grant could fund 618 packs for two weekends. Ninth year.
Needlecrafts for Needs $1,200
Continued ministry striving to reach more people in areas of AZ and beyond with gifts of prayer shawls, hats, scarves, lap robes, baby items, pillowcases and more. This ministry provides approximately 500 items a year. Funds will be used to replenish supplies and help grow to other areas. Approximately 12 people involved. Ninth year.
Dream Center - Rise $5,000
In 2018, the former RISE program and Where Hope Lives combined for all men and women to be in the Where Hope Lives program. In the previous years, funds were for women in the Where Hope Lives to be able to attend school and re-invent their lives after having been involved in sex trafficking. This year they are requesting that the funds would be used by men or women for their education. Last year, education for two women was funded, one at Phoenix College and the other at ASU. Additional funds were used for room renovation, via HVAC and plumbing. Approximately 6 people involved. Seventh year.
Habitat for Humanity $9,000
Funds used to supplement donations from St. Anthony. parishioners to fund the Episcopal Habitat Coalition in building two homes in 2018. A typical Habitat home costs $100,000 to build/rehab. St. Anthony is a founding member of the Episcopal Coalition of 1998 and has been an active member ever since. 18-24 people involved. Fourth year.
The Haiti team will not be planning a mission trip this year given the health concerns and political environment in Haiti. The project this year is to fund some or all of the construction of an assembly hall for social, cultural and artistic events, as well as for engineering classes co-sponsored with a Leogane-located engineering school on the Ste. Croix School campus complementing the previous constructed science lab. This hall will help the school to comply with the standards set by the Haitian Nation Education Ministry. Building at a cost of $10,000. Approximately 6 involved. Ninth year.
