East valley men's center
The center operates under the nonprofit organization - A New Leaf. The center provides housing and meals for over 80 residents who are seeking to make a fresh start, find work and become self sufficient. St. Anthony supports the efforts of this center by preparing and serving dinner at least monthly, usually more frequently. In addition, St. Anthony provided start-up funds for a bicycle repair shop at the center. The bicycle repair shop provides reliable transportation for the residents.

Latest Update from MOSA (Men of St. Anthony)
Thanks so much for contributing funds to support the dinners at the EVMC. This isn't the
first time we've requested contributions, and the parish has always responded generously. To date,
$1,400 has been donated to the dinner fund. Their need has increased as some other parishes are no
longer providing meals. The center is very grateful that we are keeping our commitments.
Dave Hughes, the manager of the EVMC, has verified that there have been no cases of
the coronavirus at the shelter.
We are still receiving donated bikes. Since March, MOSA has taken twenty bikes to the bike shop on the EVMC campus to be used by the men residing there with no transportation.
We have the schedule for 2021, and we have signed up again for 12 dinners to be served throughout the year.
Hopefully soon we be able to get together for some conversation and a few laughs. Stay safe
and stay well.
