Medical Relief Fund to aid Earthquake Victims in Haiti
Following news of the recent hurricane in Haiti, the Haiti Ministry reached out to our friends at Hospital Sainte Croix in Leogane, Haiti, asking how we could help. Although Leogane was not damaged, Pere Michelin, the hospital director, has travelled to the affected area with a mobile medical team to provide aid.
The hospital hopes to fund several mobile clinics to continue providing medical relief. The cost of a two-day mobile clinic, including medicine, supplies, transportation, food, hygiene kits, and per diem labor, is $7700. In addition to the mobile clinics, the hospital is receiving patients injured by the hurricane but unable to receive care and treating them without charge.
Those wishing to donate to fund the mobile clinics can write a check to St. Anthony with “Haiti Ministry” on the memo line. You can also donate online, by going to this webpage and indicating “Haiti Ministry” as the designated fund. Members of the Haiti Ministry will be available after the Sunday worship service to answer any questions.

2020 Update
The Haiti team will not be planning a mission trip this year given the health concerns and political environment in Haiti. The project this year is to fund some or all of the construction of an assembly hall for social, cultural and artistic events, as well as for engineering classes co-sponsored with a Leogane-located engineering school on the Ste. Croix School campus complementing the previous constructed science lab. This hall will help the school to comply with the standards set by the Haitian Nation Education Ministry. Building at a cost of $10,000.
